A true Olympic challenge Every four years around the world representatives from almost every country attempt to do the impossible� that is, to explain to me and the general public why Curling is / deserves to be an Olympic Sport. Every time the Winter Olympic comes around I get inundated by news articles, TV news investigations and, Columnists rants all trying as they might to �uncover / expose� this �mysterious� sport. And as always they ALL COMPLETEY FAIL! I, as most of the more than marginally learned public, know the fundamentals of Curling.. Stone, Ice, Brooms/ Push. And I can watch/read all the freaking expos�s you can skirt across the ice at me and I will never �get it�. Get the point, Get the attraction, Get why it is still in the Olympics. The only reason why I can see is too allow people every four years to wipe the dust off of their WAY hackneyed and increasing anachronistic men-using-brooms jokes. Before you know it�. They�ll make Curling-reporting an Olympic medal earning contest� Uhg.. Ok but here�s a open question about Curling�. You know how they break out the Zambonies in-between hockey, speed skating, figure skating, et al. events to clean and smooth the ice? Well, do they come out and dirty the ice in-between Curling matches? Eh� I�m doing pretty chill. Yesterday was kind of a scratch day. I mean without my puter, work was long and unreproductive� Dinner was the 25 cent wings & skins at Lonestar happyhour (it�s always a good thing when you can stuff four people with great food for under $20) Then grocery shopping then dorking then sleep. That honestly was my day. Hun? Now that I think about it� the fact that 25cent hot wings were the highlight of it� � that�s�. that�s depressing. Eh? So be it. Today should be better. I have my puter back here and tonight Purple is coming down and the whole Rainbow (Sliver, White, Sunrise Yellow, Purple and I) are going out to Monk�s (a local bar) for hopefully some good times.
