The News

I read the news. I read it often. Its probably a coping technique to mentally handle the state of the world now theses days. Theres something Ive started noticing though Is that once read enough of it, often enough, you start to see through the spins and the angles and you get a very decent objective view of whats really going on. This is not a comforting phenomenon. Reality is so much easier taken through someones reasoning of it. This is why so many of us so easy just take for granted we are getting the whole story the complete truth. Its not that we are lazy and dont want to think for ourselves Its that when we do it scares us. We want the doctor to explain to us whats wrong and tell us how to fix it. But we shy away from making the diagnosis ourselves. On its bare own reality, especially now, is frightening. No I dont mean mass paranoia run for the hills kinda thing Its just ominous. There are storm clouds in the air we all can seem them but no two forecasters are predicting the same forecast. We can choose one or two to listen too and believe. Or we can just look to the dark sky and feel with our gut and come to our own conclusion. And the truth is either way is as reliable as the other.

Today Lessons

-If a game company is going to have a countdown timer on its website from months out then it damn well better make sure that when it gets to zero I can go out and buy that game. And not just go to 5 different stores and only find weird looks!

-Stephen King probably dreams of daisies and butterflies

-The best writers, musicians and artisans are probably never discovered

-There are responsibilities that if sufficiently understood would never be desired.

Take care,

-Fritz
